Here is some examples for how to respond feedback-call from part-time jobs after you applied: Accept the offer, decline the offer, or hold the offer.

Accept the offer.

When you receive a phone call from person in charge of hiring, you have to keep in mind:

■Thanks for meeting with you and giving you a call
You should address your appreciation for the interview which was set up for you and giving you a phone call for the feedback.
You:Hello、this is ×× (your name).

Person in charge of hiring (PCH) :Hello, my name is ■■ from ○○ store. Thank you for coming by our store for the interview last day.

You:Thank you for your call. I also want to say thank you for having the interview for me.

PCH: I am calling you now, because after the interview, we would like to welcome you at our store.

You: Thank you very much! I am glad to work for you. I will work hard once I join.
■What you need to check after you accept:

・When your work will start.
・Where you should go to work. (In some case the place you will work is different from where you had an interview)
・What you should bring at the first day.
・The name of person in charge and his/her contact information.
You:When will be my first day for working?

PCH: Can you start from August 1st, 5PM?

You:Yes, I can. Is the place I work is same place as I had an interview?

PCH:Yes, same place. Please come to the place 10 minuets before the starting time.

You:Sure, I will. Are there anything I should bring at the first day?

PCH:Nothing particular. We already have everything for you.

You:OK. Who should I visit for at the first day?

PCH:You should ask for me, ■■(name of PIC).

You:I will. Could I ask your contact information just in case please?

PCH:Sure, the number I am calling. The number is 03-0000-0000.

You: Thank you very much.I will visit ■■ at ○○ store, on August 1st, 10 minuets before 5PM.

PCH:Good, so I am looking forward to see you at the day. Thank you.

You:Thank you very much.
■Reminders
・You should double check the date, time, place, and contact person before you close the call.
・You should have pen and notebook beforehand and keep memos. If you want to have pen and notebook during the call, ask PIC such alike "Could you hold one second while I am going to get my pen" and "Thank you for your waiting" after you come back.

Decline the offer

・You should address your appreciation for the interview which was set up for you and giving you a phone call for the feedback with polite manner.
・You can explain the reason in simple manner such as "I found other job" "I haven't be able to make my schedule with my school" "The requirement for job was different from what I expected".

Hold the offer

If you want to hold your answer due to the several reasons such you are waiting for the feedback from other jobs or want to think more about the job, keep in mind:
・You should address your appreciation for the interview and giving you a phone call for the feedback.
・Set up the timeline to hold your answer
・Explain the reason for holding your answer
