After you finished your application, you should start to prepare for an interview. You should know what kind of questions you may be asked, and how to answer those questions.

Frequently asked questioned and how to answer

■What is the reason you choose this job?
Good answer:I knew the name of this shop and I have been using your shops several times.
Bad answer:This shop is close to where I live. This job looks easy.
Point:The interviewer try to identify how much you are interested in this job and how you can work for him/her. You should tell him/her you knew the place you may work to show your interest.

■When can you start to work?
Good answer:I can work from next week.
Bad answer:I don't know yet.
Point:The interviewer is trying to manage your first day of your work. You must tell him/her clearly when you can start to join.

■How many days you can work for us in a week?
Good answer:I can work about 3 days a week.
Bad answer:I don't know yet.
Point:The interviewer want to figure out how often you can work. You should tell your planned schedule as much as you can.
■What is your strong and weak point?
Good answer:My good point is I am cheerful and happy person. My weak point is I may forget the things easily. So, I always write down the memo to remember.

Point:The interviewer wants to know who you are. When you talk about your weak point, you should also tell how you are challenging it.

■Can you manage your work and study?
Good answer:I would like to take day-offs several days while I am in test period. Even though, I will try to come to work as much as I can.
Bad answer:I am not busy for school, so I can come to work a lot.
Point:The interviewer wants to know if you will suddenly skip the job due to the test. (S)he knows you can't work too much when you have a test. Don't tell a lie. Be honest.

■Do you have any questions? (Sometimes you may be asked at the end of interview)
Good answer:Are there any other non-Japanese people working at the job? When can I know if I get this job?
Bad answer:No, I don't have any questions.
Point: You should double check about the job such as hourly pay, time and date you can work.
